Frequently Asked
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT BEFORE MY FIRST MASSAGE NINJAS TREATMENT?
Before your appointment you will receive an email containing a health intake form that you can fill out on your device. It is required by law for all regulated heath professionals to have their patients complete and submit this form. We will review your health history and ask questions to determine how to tailor an effective treatment suited for you. We will prep the massage table in your space and once it is set we will go over your health history and perform an assessment. Please inform the therapist if there are areas you would like to be focused on, areas to avoid and other preferences you may have.
HOW LONG ARE THE TREATMENTS?
The massage sessions we offer ranges from 60m (1h), 75m (1h 15m), 90m (1h 30m) to 120m (2h). Since we are a mobile service our time starts when the massage table is set up. Assessment, getting undressed, breaks, getting dressed up are all included as part of your treatment time. Clean up and dismantling the table are excluded from the treatment time.
DO I NEED TO BE UNDRESSED?
We care about your comfort and it is up to you. The therapist will explain your treatment and instructions on how to drape. They will leave the room to provide you privacy to get ready. When you are, lay on the massage table and cover yourself with the draping we provided. The therapist will ask your consent if they can enter the space and if you are ready to start. Please communicate with your therapist about any discomfort, you are in control and can request for adjustments or to pause the treatment. Our professional therapists will never expose private parts or areas not being treated, only parts needing treatment will be left uncovered with your permission.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A MASSAGE?
The therapist will provide you privacy to get dressed after your treatment. Take your time gathering yourself as you may be feeling a bit drowsy or limber after the massage. Feel free to ask for assistance. Reactions to the treatment vary based on the technique, pressure used, session length, or the physical demands you place on your body after. The treatment may leave you free from chronic tightness or acute pain but you may experience a bit of soreness from the pressure applied. Please understand that the effects of the massage are cumulative and we recommend follow up treatments to fully take advantage of it's benefits.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR'S NOTE?
You do not need a medical note to receive a massage but it may be required by your insurance provider if you have extended health benefits coverage from your employer. Please review the terms of your insurance coverage before booking an appointment. We also advise to consult with your health care provider before starting any kind of treatment plan.
HOW TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT?
Our practice operates on a strict cancellation policy. We require clients to provide us a 24 hour notice to the scheduled time if cancelling an appointment. We charge for the full session if we do not receive a cancellation notice. You can cancel the appointment on the booking page or call us at 647 559 1594 and we can cancel it for you.
DO WE OFFER DIRECT BILLING?
We do! We bill your insurance company on your behalf and all you have to do is provide us with your insurance details. You receive treatment without paying the full amount up front, or without paying at all if you are receiving a 100% coverage from your provider. We'll check your coverage before the treatment and after the session we will submit your claim electronically to your provider. Your insurer pays us directly and you only pay what your plan doesn't cover such as co-pays or amounts over your limit.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
Direct billing, debit and credit cards, e-transfers and cash are all accepted forms of payment.
